CBD: crazy claims -- but real benefits
People have made some crazy claims about CBD, and some of them are not valid. If you hear someone say CBD cures cancer or COVID, beware.
But there are real health benefits that are backed up by research.
Cannabis can help with sleep — both getting to sleep and staying asleep.
It’s a great tool for reducing anxiety.
It reduces inflammation and helps with pain management.
Studies indicate that CBD may be able to help with high blood pressure.
And it’s safe.
This article from Harvard Health cites the World Health Organization saying “In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”
That doesn't mean it works for everybody in every situation the same way. Our bodies respond differently to all kinds of activities, nutrients, compounds, and food.
