CBD vs THC: Why Some People Prefer CBD

Many people enjoy the psychoactive effects of THC. It offers a way to relax and unwind after a long day, and it's been known to help manage pain. Sometimes it replaces anxiety with a mild euphoria (although too much THC can have the opposite effect). Overall, it's a great way to relax and enjoy life.

However, THC can also have negative effects, including anxiety, paranoia, dizziness, memory loss, increased heart rate, dry mouth and eyes, reduced coordination, and slower reaction times.

Some people aren't bothered by the negatives or don't experience them at all -- but some can't tolerate it. So THC is definitely not for everyone.

Some people don't like the feeling of being high, while they still want a more balanced endocannabinoid system, with less aches and pains, better sleep, feelings of calm, and other health benefits that cannabis can offer.

Enter CBD, which is not psychoactive, offers many of the benefits without the high. While it pairs well with THC, volumes have been written about the remarkable medicine CBD (without THC) can be for a long list of ailments.

We offer a variety of full spectrum options in gummies, tinctures, and vapes.

We think full spectrum is important because cannabinoids work better as a team than individually. Some CBD products, known as isolates, include only CBD, without other cannabinoids. We don't carry those at Phenomwell.

THCV is another, lesser used, non-psychoactive cannabinoid that sometimes shows up in products. People generally use THCV specifically for attention and appetite suppression and not for the broader range of applications that CBD is known for.

We believe in offering our customers a broad range of choices and strive to provide products that meet a variety of needs. If you have any questions about which product might be right for you, please reach out to us! We're always happy to help.
