But a lab can convert some cannabinoids to others quite easily -- and that's how we get Delta 8 THC. So it's a workaround that allows people in North Carolina to benefit from THC. Delta 8 is an isomer of Delta 9. The molecular difference is very minor, although there are differences in the effects.

Combining the two cannabinoids, in different ratios, can result in different effects. The CBD counteracts the intoxicating effect of THC. Both have medical benefits for a variety of ailments.

Most products contain one or the other -- so in order to combine CBD and THC in North Carolina, with any ratio, consumers generally use two different products.
