Nano is better

Our nano-emulsified CBD tinctures and gummies are made from distillate.

Why nano?

Because it's better.

Nano-emulsion is an advanced mode of delivery system for common additives that are typically oil based. The primary advantage of nano is that the particles are smaller and therefore more easily absorbed by the body.

Besides the increased bioavailability, nano-emulsified CBD also offers these advantages:

  • Is non-toxic and non-irritant in nature
  • Has improved physical stability
  • Can be formulated for liquids, foams, creams and sprays
  • Provides better uptake of oil-soluble supplements in cell culture technology
  • Reduces flavor of additive or drug
  • Requires less energy to dissolve
  • Has fast-acting effects

Nano is the future, but we've been carrying nano CBD tinctures since shortly after we opened the store in 2019.

The nano-emulsified CBD is made from distillate, as opposed to crude oil. Distillation removes the plant material while keeping the beneficial minor cannabinoids and terpenes -- and thus, provide the benefits of the entourage effect.

When CBD comes from crude oil, you know it very quickly from the taste. The crude often contains excess fats, waxes, and lipids. Sometimes the taste includes the bitterness of chlorophyll from the plant material. It's also possible that some chemicals used for extraction can be left behind in the oil.

One thing to be careful of is buying hemp seed oil that is marketed as if it's CBD oil. If you see a product that promises very high milligrams at a very low price, it could be hemp seed oil. Hemp seed oil can make a great salad dressing -- but it's made from the seeds, not the flower, and contains no CBD.
