Why we don’t advertise on Facebook
We don’t have anything against social media advertising.
But social media advertising does have something against us.
They don’t allow it.
Facebook, Instagram, and Google do not allow ads from most CBD stores. It’s against their terms of service.
Even though CBD is federally legal, marijuana is not — and the robots don’t seem to make the distinction.
Recently, in the past few months, they’ve started allowing some ads on their platforms — but only for the largest companies.
They still don’t allow smaller, local stores like PhenomWell to “boost” a post or place an ad. And they limit our reach to 3% of our followers.
They even banned us for a week for posting a picture of a bag of CBD gummies. Some stores have had their accounts cancelled altogether.
The only way to gain more reach is by producing content that’s engaging enough for people to share. So if you’d like to give the PhenomWell Facebook page a an organic boost, you can find it here: https://www.facebook.com/phenomwellstore
One of these days, that will change.
Please don’t see this as a political rant. These companies own the platforms and we (the users) provide the content. They are free to show whatever they want in the news feed. We’re just looking forward to the day when they make these platforms available to businesses like ours, so we can share more content.
Until then, we’ll share the amazing benefits of hemp the old fashioned way, through email and talking to people.
If you shop online, you can choose to pick-up, get free local delivery, or free shipping. If you’d like to order by phone, the number is (980) 330-3073.
